Shane Bridgman is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner* and is double board certified in adult-gerontology primary care by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He began his career as a critical care nurse (RN) working in progressive and intensive care units (ICU) in Central Florida. After obtaining his BSN from the University of West Florida, he completed his MSN as a nurse practitioner specializing in adult-geriatric primary care from Florida Southern College in 2017. He then obtained his DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) degree from top ranked Duke University in 2020 with outstanding academic performance. He began his nurse practitioner career specializing in pulmonary and sleep medicine with a focus on asthma, COPD, Chronic Respiratory Failure, and sleep apnea management. His clinical passion is the long-term management of respiratory disorders such as asthma, COPD and Chronic Respiratory Failure as well as intervening and treating acute respiratory illnesses such as influenza, COVID, pneumonia and acute bronchitis. He has comprehensive experience in both the inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (clinic) settings. He prides himself on empowering patients through education and establishing long lasting rapport. He has extensive experience in developing and leading pulmonary telemedicine programs focusing on the rural and underserved populations. He has a passion for bringing exceptional care to rural and underserved populations including the uninsured. His professional bedside demeanor stems from his passion of treating every patient like family and he is looking forward to treating you and yours!
